MBABANE – Local teams might as well forget about signing Vovovo skilful youngster, Leon Manyisa.

This is if his proposed move to Malaysia becomes a success. The player is set to join one of the top teams in Asia.
According to sources close to the matter, it is a done deal, as the 18-year-old has almost done all the necessary paperwork and all that is left is for his team to tie some loose ends for the move to be a success.

“The Malaysian team got wind that the player was such as by teams from Spain namely Real Madrid Reserve side, and they felt they could snatch him before the Spanish teams. Madrid want him to do trials while in Malaysia they want to sign him outright. If things go well by the end of June or early next month, he should be gone,” said the source.

Vovovo Director Sipho ‘Tsetla’ Bhembe confirmed that the player was destined for an overseas move, but politely declined to go into detail on the transfer.

“Well, it is true that the player is destined for an overseas move but now I do not want to get into detail as this can jeopardise his move. We will inform the media when it’s the right time,” Bhembe said.
Meanwhile, when his coach, Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini was reached for comment, he said if the Malaysia move becomes a reality, it will open doors for the player.

“The player is talented and young, there is no better opportunity for him to play abroad than this one. He must grab it with both hands and make it worthwhile. He can only come back home and play for the local teams,” he said
Manyisa said he was ready for the world.

“I believe I can play anywhere, especially if given enough game time,” he said.
Manyisa’s move to Spain was ignited after an official from Spain visited the team early last year.

The player, on Saturday, appeared as guest player for Manzini Wanderers and he scooped Man of the Match Awards in the games against Moneni Pirates and Manzini Sundowns. The player is being sought by Wanderers, Mbabane Highlanders, Mbabane Swallows and Royal Leopard. The name of the Malaysian team could not be ascertained at the time of going to print.
