ALL SET FOR RSSC CHARITY GOLF TOURNEY
SIMUNYE – Taking a right-brained approach to their shots around the greens to benefit water challenged communities in the Lubombo region will be the line of business for golfers this Saturday at Mananga Golf Club.
More than 27 corporates will again take a trip to the Lubombo region for the fifth edition of the RSSC Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday. The tournament is the sugar company’s managing director’s brain child for giving back to communities within the Lubombo region through partnerships with other corporate giants. Over the past four years, proceeds of the tournament have benefitted thousands of emaSwati with water through the installation of six boreholes in communities facing water crises.
Apart from the water projects, the proceeds of the tourney also saw an elderly couple receiving a lifetime gift of a two-room house, along with a water tank for an orphanage at Vuvulane.
RSSC Group Public Affairs Manager said; “We have also received positive feedback from companies even this year for their participation in the vibrant charity golf tournament in Eswatini.
“Over the years, we have seen the tournament growing bigger and better with more surprises competitively. Even this year the tournament will be exhilarating and it is always prodigious to see more than 27 corporates enjoying a sport for a good cause not just for prizes.” “Last year, Speed Clean were crowned champions of the tournament. We are not certain who will walk home smiling this time around.”
