KING BRAVES HEAT, PUSHES HIS LIMIT

MBABANE – Yesterday’s scorching heat did not deter His Majesty King Mswati III from enduring an over 30-minute aerobics workout.
Temperatures in the city and surrounding areas soared to 31 Degrees Celsius yesterday. Thousands had cascaded to Somhlolo National Stadium for the fourth instalment of the celebrated Imbube Marathon and the festivities were once again headlined by a workout by the King.
The Eswatini National Provident Fund-sponsored race is staged under the ‘Push your limit’ banner. The King once again proved flawless in his execution of the aerobics steps and endured the entire session which lasted for over 30 minutes.
The aerobics workout would not be complete without the rhythmic cultural dances which are known as kukosha in vernacular. They also complemented the aerobics.
Members of the royal family, led by senior Prince Masitsela, also led by example and conquered the ‘obstacles’. Cabinet Ministers, who included Princess Sikhanyiso, as well as Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs’ Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga and his predecessor David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, among others, could also not miss out.
After the workout, winners got to share the podium with the king, as they collected their prizes.
