LETSHEGO’S E15 000 FOR SHOOTING
MBABANE – It will literally be guns blazing at Mzimpofu Shooting Range during the second edition of the Letshego Shooting Tournament.
This follows the official launch of this edition yesterday whereby a E15 000 cheque was presented to the Eswatini Shooting Association (ESA) President Sipho Ntshalintshali by Letshego Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mongi Dlamini.
The tournament was sponsored with the same amount last year.
Dlamini said they were happy with the partnership with shooting as most of the players were their customers and they were giving back.
“Letshego’s support of this sport started last year. We realised that most of our customers in the armed forces love this sport and what it stands for and felt the need to assist as it is one of the sports that are overlooked. We encourage more people to participate in such a sport,” he said.
Dlamini said the company remains committed to promoting being responsible everything that it does.
“As a company, we are also challenged to further encourage responsible lending and borrowing within our customers and industry as a whole. This does not apply only to Letshego Eswatini but even across Letshego’s 11-country footprint in Africa,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ntshalintshali said participation in the sport was improving and they were looking forward to having over 12 teams in the tournament.
He thanked Letshego for their continued support and urged other companies to come on board and support the sport.
Eswatini National Sport and Recreation Council (ENSRC) Development Officer Zama Tsabedze said Letshego was a true friend of sports in the country.
He said sports relied on the support from the corporate sector. “Shooting is among the growing sports in the country and it is a very interesting sport, I can attest to that. We are happy that the association is also in compliance with the mother body,” he said.
