BL. SWALLOWS IN TURMOIL
MBABANE – All is not rosy at newly-promoted elite side, Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows. This comes amid a meeting billed for Saturday where it is reported that Chairman Charles Matsebula will resign and a new Management Committee (MC) will be elected.
Matsebula has been in charge of the club since it was in the Super League in 2011 and it was handed over to him by the elders from Malandalahle, Pigg’s Peak where the team is based.
Sources close to the matter said there was now a lot of infighting in the team. Matsebula confirmed that he was going to step down from the team but he would be in a better position to comment further after the meeting on Saturday.

“There is a meeting on Saturday at Malandelahle starting at 8:30am. It is after this meeting that I will shed light but it is true that I will be stepping down. It’s a meeting with elders but we are also inviting everyone to be present to discuss a way forward,” he said.
The sources said some people were making the life of the chairman difficult since the team got promoted to the elite league.
“There are lots of things that the chairman is induced to do without support and some people want the team, hence the meeting on Saturday. He has made it clear to us that he will be stepping down on Saturday and those interested must come forward,” alleged the source.
Part of the agenda during the meeting will be the appointment of a coach since the departure of Alou Badara a fortnight ago.
Black Swallows are eighth in the league having won three of their eight games. They have seven points and will play Milling Hotspurs next Saturday (October 26).
