MBABANE – The Usutu Family Cycle Race is becoming bigger and better.

This is after the annual race has incorporated a 5km run/walk in this year’s edition of the Usutu Family Cycle. This was confirmed by one of the organisers in Muzi Nxumalo, who is a teacher at Usutu Forest Primary School.
The race is scheduled for next Saturday at Usutu Forest Primary School. It will include a 12km and 20km cycle run and a 5km run/walk.

Participants will be expected to part ways with E80 and E120 for the 12km and 20km race. It will start at 7am and is expected to end at 11:30. For the 5km walk/run/cycle participants will pay E40.
The cut-off date for registration and payment will be Thursday next week (October 31).All cyclists are expected to wear helmets.

“This is a family fun event in which we expected over 200 cyclists or runners. This year we have introduced a 5km walk or run which is targeted at those who cannot partake in the cycle race,” Muzi Nxumalo, who is one of the organisers said.
He also highlighted that the main objective of the race was to bring together families to explore their school premises.

“The race/walk/run is open not only to the pupils but everyone who is interested to just flex their muscle and explore the beautiful scenario around the school premises. We urge those interested to register in time before the deadline next Thursday,” he said.
