MBABANE – Dominic Kunene is not worried about their league record against Mbabane Swallows.

The army side has failed to beat the red and white glamour side in nine straight league games successively.
Tomorrow they meet again in their 2019/20 MTN Premier League first round encounter and coach Kunene has come out to say that this record was history for them.

Speaking yesterday at Sigwaca House during their pre-match press conference, the coach said they were growing and they did not consider the past.
“It will be a new game all together; if we reflect on the past, such will have negative effects for us psychologically,” he said.
Kunene also added that ‘Birds’ were a big team and they were the underdogs in this one.

“We will give our best and we have a game plan for them (Swallows), we are planning on implementing on Sunday (tomorrow),” said the coach.
He said they would try to protect their goalkeeper and attack the opposition more and said the fact that they were underdogs would inspire his players to want to win the game more.

His captain Nhlanhla Gwebu, who is also the goalkeeper, said they knew expectations were high but they would give their best as players and urged their supporters to come in numbers.

Swallows’ coach Honour Janza, who had come for the first time, said they respected Buffaloes just like they did for any other team in the elite league.
“We will take this game with its seriousness. We are aware of their capability and the fact that they are fresh from Africa to represent the country in a CAF competition,” he said.

The Zambia-born strategist said he was sure it would be a good game as expectations were very high.
His captain, Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze, shared similar sentiments also highlighting that they took each game at a time. He said they were aware how strong Buffaloes were but said the 12th player would play a huge role in their success.
