MBABANE – With four games to go, no player is a clear favourite to win the MTN Premier League first round ‘Golden Boot’ Award.

After round nine in the past weekend, Young Buffaloes marksman Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze still leads the pack with eight goals in the same number of matches. He is still forced to look over his shoulders by Green Mamba’s attacking midfielder Mxolisi Mkhontfo, who is on seven goals.

Mbabane Swallows’ Sandile Hlatshwako completes the top three with six goals. Allen Mabuza, Ali Matse and Lizwe Zwane of Black Swallows, Buffaloes and Moneni Pirates, respectively, have also kept the top spot within touching distance with five goals apiece.

Mbabane Swallows skipper Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze and Mhlume Peacemakers’ Sidumo Dlamini, on the other hand, also remain in the picture, thanks to their four-goal tally.
A player topping the charts after round 13 will become E8 000 richer.  A majority of the teams have now played nine games.
