‘MADZE’ DONATES KIT FOR MSUNDUZA CRICKET
MBABANE – The minister of Sports Culture and Youth Affair Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga donated a kit for Msunduza cricket team valued at E3 500 through the Madze Foundation.
This transpired during the league games that were played yesterday at Malkerns Country Club. The minister, who was born and bred at Msunduza, Mbabane, said he was happy to see children from his community playing a unique sport like cricket. The Msunduza cricket programme, which started in the year 2019, was aimed at promoting the sport and allowing all children to get to learn how to play cricket at competitive level.
Thanked
Bulunga also thanked the Eswatini Cricket Association (ECA) for bringing about such a programme that enabled children to come together to play cricket. “I would like to thank the parents from Montessori for tirelessly supporting their children during games and encourage other parents to follow suit. As a resident of Msunduza location, I encourage the corporate world to financially support such sports,” he said. In the spirit of sportsmanship, Montessori Life School also donated various cricket equipment to the Msundza team. The equipment included bats, leg guards and helmets. The equipment was presented by Montessori Principal Thea Rudd and was received by the Msunduza team together with the minister.
