MBABANE – Future soccer stars can now rush to their nearest outlets to get forms for the first-ever Eswatini open football trials.

Australia-based global marketing firm Professional Soccer Management (PSM) in collaboration with Eswatini Football Association (EFA) is presenting a rare opportunity to all emaSwati to fight for a place in Europe through the 10-day trials that will run from January 20 this year. They will be staged in all the country’s four regions.

Registration

The trials are open to players in three age categories (10-15, 16-18 as well as 19 and above). Registration fees range between E100 and E200. PSM CEO Emmanuel Emenogu said players could now buy the registration forms across the four regions. They are available mainly in OK Foods outlets. “Upon buying the form, a ticket or receipt will be attached to it. The form and proof of payment are to be provided on the day of the trials,” he said. Emenogu said the date of visiting each ground for the trials would be determined by the response from each region.

Legends

The trials will be conducted by African legends who include Emmanuel Eboue who used to play for Arsenal. PSM has partnerships with Europeans teams that include Arsenal from England, Galatarasay and Alanyaspor, who are both from Turkey. The latter side have already invited Mbabane Highlanders and Sihlangu enterprising midfielder Sisekelo ‘Rio’ Matsenjwa for assessment at the end of the month. For further enquiries, would-be participants can contact the organisers on 7923 3359 or 7853 7579. Alternatively, they can send an electronic mail to soccer.management.za@gmail.com.
