GOLFER NOMVUYO SHINES
MBABANE – Nomvuyo Dludlu emerged as the winner of the ladies category in the January MTN Masters.
She carded an impressive score of 34 points to win the ladies category. The competition was played at the Mbabane Golf Course on Saturday. The competition was played in a modified stable ford format. Shining in the men’s category was Vusi Gama who won after playing 40 points beating a big field of 60 golfers at Mbabane Golf Club. He was closely followed by Dumisa Gama on 39 points who won on a countback ahead of Andreas Mkhatshwa. Shining in the novelties was Siboniso Mkhwanazi with the longest drive while Phumlile Zwane took home the same award in the ladies category.
Winning
Dumisa Gama was again on the podium in the novelties this time winning the nearest pin 8/17 award. Gordon Bennett shone in the nearest pin 9/18 category. Meshack Maseko, who spoke on behalf of the sponsor, thanked the golf club committee for the good organisation of the tournament. The Captain Kenneth Nkambule thanked the sponsor for the good support they were receiving as a club and thanked the golfers for coming in numbers.
