Highlanders Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Melusi Dlamini confirmed the passing away of the NSC chairman’s father when drawn for comment. He also confirmed Kgomongwe’s generous donation to the Dlamini family.

impractical

The CEO further explained why it would be impractical for Kgomongwe to attend the funeral of Dlamini’s father in support of the family.
“We adhere to the government 2020 COVID-19 Regulations. They ordered that only relatives must attend the funeral of a deceased,” he said.
The CEO said for someone who was in South Africa, it would not be advisable for them to come to Eswatini to attend a funeral.

“The chairman communicated in writing that he had donated E5 000 to the family,” the CEO said.
Asked on the funeral details of the deceased, Melusi said he was not yet aware of such arrangements.
