MBABANE – South African football administrators have always treated Mbombela United unfairly.
This is the feeling of relegated former South Africa GladAfrica Championship side Mbombela United’s  assistant coach Siyabonga Bhembe.
Speaking on national radio, the Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS) Sports Show yesterday, the former Mbabane Swallows assistant coach alleged they had always been treated unfairly in South Africa making an example of last season, where he said Mbombela had ‘challenges’ when they were looking to get promotion to the Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL).

“If truth be told, a lot of people were surprised when I spoke on national radio this morning. They felt that it was an emotional issue,” said Bhembe.
Asked to clarify what he really meant when he said they had always been treated unfairly in South African football, Bhembe did not want to commit himself.
He was asked to shed light whether they felt the team was treated unfairly because they had a number of emaSwati or it was just the team in general South African football authorities had a problem with.
Despite having stated earlier in his national radio interview that there was corruption in South African football and they were treated unfairly, Bhembe said he wanted to maintain one fact; “The truth will come out at the end.”

Blow

Mbombela suffered a huge blow on Tuesday when Eswatini international Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa was suspended for two years after allegedly being found guilty by the South African Football Association (SAFA) Arbitration.
On top of the two-year ban imposed to the striker, SAFA docked 23 points from the club, resulting in the team being relegated.
The verdict meant Mbombela United will be relegated to the ABC Motsepe Mpumalanga League with TS Sporting remaining in the GladAfrica Championships.
TS Sporting ended the GladAfrica Championship season in 15th place, below Mbombela United who finished 14th following the conclusion of the season last Sunday.
The former Mbabane Swallows’ striker is alleged to have signed a contract with TS Sporting before signing and playing for Mbombela United at the start of the ended season. “The truth in this matter will help us all to see things as they are and all those who have suspicions will have them confirmed in no time,” said Bhembe.

Return

He also added they (emaSwati players) were currently all in the country and will return to South Africa in a fortnight.
He said they were eagerly awaiting update from the Chairman, Oupa Mathebula, on which direction they will take from here. “We will fight this to the end as the chairman sorts out the issue of appealing,” he said.
Ndzinisa was playing for Mbo- mbela United with four other emaSwati players in Felix Badenhorst, Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze, Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu and Justice Figuareido.
Also in the technical bench for the Mbombela is Eswatini legend Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina.
The other Eswatini internationals at Mbombela have so far chosen not comment on their relegation pending their meeting with Matsebula.
