PLE RAKES IN E16M IN 2019/20
EZULWINI – The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) rake in E16 million in terms of sponsorship in the 2019/20 ended season.
The amount comes from the six sponsors currently engaged with PLE.
A large chunk of the sponsorship comes from MTN Eswatini, who spent E6 million for premier league and first division leagues.
Coming second in terms of the sponsorships is the Ingwenyama Cup sponsored by the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF) with E3 292 700 and third is the EswatiniBank Cup sponsored to the tune of E3 431 000 by EswatiniBank.

According to the PLE 2019/20 activity report, MTN Eswatini is the main sponsor for the PLE as it also covered a larger percentage of the organisation’s administrative costs. MTN launched an E18 million three-year sponsorship last year.
“EPTC is financing the Charity Cup and Esibayeni Lodge is sponsoring the Under-17 juniors league while SMVAF and EswatiniBank sponsor our two knockout tournaments with the latter also sponsoring the Under-20 knockout,” reads part of the report.
