10 SPORTS STARS IN SWAZI BOY AWARDS
MBABANE – Professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini headlines the top 10 nominees of the Social Media Awards hosted by Swazi Boy Entertainment.
The nominees were revealed yesterday. The South Africa-based Lobamba-born golfer was recently appointed SuperSport’s latest ‘Let’s Play’ ambassador. Dlamini has been out of action for the past five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The nominees also include Mbabane Swallows player Sizolwethu Shabalala while others are international players in Mbombela United stars, Felix Badenhorst and Justice Figuareido. The two players have signed for TS Galaxy that will be playing in South Africa’s premier league next season.
Another football player turned golfer Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe.
Others are taekwondo artists Carlota Munave, Greg Mamba, athlete Erikah Seyama and Rethabile Nxumalo. Completing the top 10 is tennis star Brice Gama.
The entertainment stable’s Publicist Nozipho ‘Ur Gal Zee’ Masuku said there were 34 categories including the sportsperson of the year.
Masuku said the nomination exercise was done through Twitter and Facebook on the @sma_eswatini handle as well as on the Swazi Boy TV page on Facebook.
Masuku said they would be communicating with the nominees and posting their pictures on social media where the voting will be done. The voting will be through Facebook and Instagram.
