MBABANE – Mabuda Guest Farm in Siteki is the place to be for horse riders and fitness fanatics this weekend.

A variety of natural outdoor activities including horse-riding, mountain hikes and adventurous walks are lined up for the weekend starting today until Sunday afternoon. This event styled Eswatini Adventure Weekend aims to celebrate health and sustainable outdoor travel in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Entry fee is E100 and additional prizes apply for the different activities. A one hour horse ride and trail walk will cost E250 and double the amount for extended time. Participants were encouraged to book at Mabuda farm, where most of the activities will be centred, except for the Sunday hike, which will ascend through the Maguga community.

attendance

According to one of the event’s organisers and horse rider Ann Reilly, who also participated in the trans-country 179km ride which started at Mlilwane to Mabuda Guest Farm in Siteki over the past five days, the attendance will only be limited to 100 people. Reilly advised people to make advanced reservations or bookings at Mabuda Guest House.

“Our goal is to create and showcase core quality adventures and events in each region, celebrate tourism and regional offerings in such a way that motivates and ignites inter-regional domestic travel during the COVID-19 era. We also have a brand new trail that people will explore on Saturday and it’s a fun way to exercise,” said Reilly.
