SIKHUPHE – They are approaching this game with caution.

Burundian side AS Le Messager’s Captain Cedrick Danny Urasenga has admitted that Young Buffaloes are a closed book to them.

Urasenga made these comments upon arrival at King Mswati International KMIII Airport yesterday afternoon. Buffaloes will host the little-known Burundian champions tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre at 3pm. The game was initially scheduled for this afternoon at the same venue, but had to be shifted to tomorrow after the visitors encountered travelling challenges, with only five players arriving yesterday.

difficult

“It is going to be a difficult game because Buffaloes are a closed book to us. In fact we know nothing about Eswatini football but we are here to play our game and hopefully we will get positive results,” said Urasenga.

When asked if the delay in arrival of the whole squad would disturb their mental focus for this game, he said: “Look, we are born soldiers and we need to fight to the best of our abilities despite the challenges we are facing. We are hoping that everything would be sorted and the whole delegation will arrive in time tomorrow (today),” he said. He further complained bitterly about not getting enough time to rest, but was quick to point out that they were banking on their CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup experience as it was not their first time playing in these tournaments.

He mentioned that the last time they played CAF Champions League they were booted out in the preliminary round but were now aiming to go past the first round stage.
