MBABANE – As the clock ticks faster towards the anticipated season kickoff on Saturday, Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows have reinforced their nest with a stellar signing.

Having ended the 2019/2020 season submerged in the basement of the log table, Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows have made a big catch by signing Tambuti FC anchorman Gabriel Goshen. The club’s Chairman, Charles Matsebula, said the experienced player would add value to his team. Goshen signed a two-year contract.

“We are very happy to have a player of his calibre. He has the experience and we believe that he will share that experience with the rest of the team and steer us to stardom,” said Matsebula.

Matsebula said nine more players were expected to endorse their signatures before the end of the registration period. He disclosed that the targeted players had been identified and would only confirm their names after finalising the negotiations with their former teams.

“Some of the deals are still on the table and it’s a toll order because signing players includes financial commitments. We have identified them and if we manage to sign all nine, then we will be ready to take on any club, not just in the premier league but in Africa,” said Matsebula.

Black Swallows will face Manzini Sea Birds on Sunday at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium starting at 1:30pm. The Pigg’s Peak boys will be without a head coach following the departure of Zimbabwean gaffer, Tavaka Gumbo, who signed a one-year contract with premier league rookies, Tambankulu Callies, in the past week.  A premier league thriller between Mbabane Highlanders and Royal Leopard will be witnessed at 4pm at the same venue on Sunday.
