MBABANE – Football lovers will be happy to learn that in Eswatini, at last, there is a fully licensed agency that provides a platform for betting.

The agency, MulaSport, officially launched their services at an event which was held at Mountain Inn yesterday.

Betting is the act of gambling money on the outcome of a race, game or unpredictable event.

Speaking during the launch, one of the agency’s Directors, Khanya Magagula, said he was happy to announce that their agency was fully registered and had a licence.

“People have been using South African betting platforms, but I am glad that we have our own agency here in Eswatini that will cater for betting needs.

‘‘This platform, MulaSport, is transparent, live, convenient and winnings happen instantly,” he said. Magagula went on to thank Eswatini Mobile, MTN Eswatini, Lula Solutions and Ignitivelab.

“These companies are working with us and are helping us with integration and we appreciate them,” he said.

“You can start betting on the website. Bet for your favourite teams if they would win or lose or draw and start earning some bonuses. If your betting was spot-on, you get a particular bonus, but if you did not get it right, all that money that you bet will be lost,” he said.

Magagula revealed that for a start one can win up to E5 000 maximum a day after betting.

gradually

“However, as more people join, possibly the maximum bonuses that can be won instantly will gradually increase. We will consider bringing in more sports, but for starters, people can only bet on soccer games,” he said.

When asked if the public can bet on local teams, Magagula said: “Not at the moment, we still have to meet with Eswatini Football Association (EFA) to discuss how we can involve local teams in our betting system,” he said.

The director also revealed that customers can also earn money for inviting people to join the agency.

Present during the launch was Eswatini Mobile’s Benedict Bennet, MTN’s Mcondzisi Nxumalo, and Helmon Motsa, who is secretary to the Gaming Board, Lula Solutions’ Thabo Magagula, Iginitivelab’s George Mzungu and staff members from MulaSport.
