TINYOSI’S KOKO EYES TOP GOALSCORER TITLE
MBABANE – Koko has big dreams for his football career.
Premier League rookies Tinyosi FC’s Koko Dlamini has big ambitions ahead of the reopening of the league.
Born with a soccer ball at his feet, as he is son to Tinyosi Director Mbuso Dlamini, he has ample opportunities to reach for the sky as his supreme goal is to play for one of South Africa’s top clubs, Kaiser Chiefs.
Two seasons ago, he was crowned the top goal scorer in the National First Division where he scored an unsurpassed 27 goals and was honoured with a trophy to celebrate his achievement.
His plan is to become the top goal scorer of the 2020/2021MTN Premier League season, a title he will have to fight for against title defender Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze. Koko secured two goals in two matches in their clash against Malanti Chiefs and Tambuti.
“I have done it before and I can do it again. I want to become Premier League’s top goalscorer and help my team to stay in the top eight position. We are not here to add numbers but to compete and as a winger, my job is to score goals,” said Koko.
chance
The 26-year-old player once had the chance to enrol with Mpumalanga Black Aces Academy but his journey was cut short when the club was changed to Cape Town City.
“My father has done so much for me and I want to honour him and have him reap the fruits of his investment in me. I have played for junior national team squads and hope that one day I will get a senior national team call up,” said Koko.
Koko said he was inspired by Eswatini’s international player in TS Galaxy’s Felix Badenhorst to pursue his international dream as he also eyes signing a deal with the Tim Sukazi’s red and black ensemble.
“Attaching with TS Galaxy would be a great start for me and take after Felix, who is currently doing a great job,” said Koko.
