ZITHANDE BOOT CAMP AT MILLENNIUM PARK
MBABANE – The emphasis is on fitness and health.
Members of the public are invited to converge at the Millennium Park in Manzini on Saturday morning for the renowned Zithande boot camp. This month’s theme is emphasis on physical and mental health. Due to the restrictions on the number of people allowed to converge in one place in light of the risks aligned with the pandemic, Thwala advised people who are interested in participating in the wellness event to reserve their spots by registering early. The registration fee still stands at E60 per individual. The host, fitness coach Nsizwa Thwala, encouraged people to be persistent in taking care of their bodies through exercise and good nutrition. Thwala thanked government for the relaxation of the lockdown which allows fitness fanatics to resume training in groups, which he said was motivational and essential for beginners.

“The stadiums we normally use are not available and the Millenium Park is our next stop this weekend. We will not exceed 100 people as per the government’s regulation and to avoid being turned back at the entrance, people must reserve their places early,” said Thwala. During the lockdown period, Zithande boot camps were run online but Thwala noted that some people had challenges in accessing this platform.

He, however, noted that the Zithande Facebook page reached out to a wider audience as people got inspiration while some shared their weight loss and fitness transformation journeys.
“All along we thought that COVID-19 was targeting the elderly yet this virus does not discriminate. COVID-19 is asking us about our health and we want to address holistic body health instead of working on one problematic area. Giving up is not an option,” said Thwala.
