MBABANE – The young shall grow - that is why Manzini Regional Pool Association (MRPA) and Eswatini Cue Sports Associaitions (ECSA) are developing future stars.

After dedicating last Saturday to a development tournament for under-16s, once again, it was a successful day for the MRPA and ECSA as the participating four clubs were ready for it. This time, they all came clad in sponsored t-shirts to look uniform. They were dressed by the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC).

Runers-up

The teams who were eventual champions were Bhunya, runners-up Ludzeludze One, Malkerns and Ludzeludze Two. The latter won the first tournament a fortnight ago in Malkerns Game room, the same venue as last weekend. They beat Malkerns to the title. However, this time, the tables were turned as the final featured new teams, Bhunya and Ludzeludze One. All teams had players as young as under-12 years. Bhunya won the final by a narrow margin of 13-12, a score line that shows these are bright players for the future. The teams were presented with medals and a trophy. MRPA Secretary Mbongeni ‘Mdlikiza’ Gamedze affirmed the results as he congratulated all the junior teams that made the tournament a success. He also extended their gratitude to the ESRC for the support they have received for the development project.
