EZULWINI - The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) is currently engaged in talks with the league sponsor, MTN Eswatini.

This was revealed by Brand, Communications and Sponsorship Manager Lando Dlamini yesterday during the MTN Player of the Month presentation for June and July respectively. “We are back in talks with the PLE over sponsorship renewal. We do hope the talks will be fruitful and might see yet another three-year renewal as this term comes to an end,” said Dlamini. She also congratulated the player of the month winners and further encouraged them to work extra hard until the end of the season which is in two weeks time.

PLE Executive Committee member Charles Matsebula said news of the sponsorship renewal talks were positive and was also optimistic of the continued support from the mobile company. He also highlighted that the league would finish in about two weeks from now and they would then award the exceptional players. The current sponsorship package is E18 million and has run since the 2018/19 season to the current one. It was E6 million each season and has reached its final term in the current 2020/21 season.
