LEOPARD SWEATING OVER MACHAWE
MBABANE – Royal Leopard are sweating over defender Machawe Dlamini’s injury head of their trip to Zambia for the second leg of the CAF Champions League clash.
Machawe suffered the ankle injury during the 1-0 win against Zambia’s ZESCO United on Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre. The national team, Sihlangu player was in the starting 11 men on Saturday during the crucial victory. Leopard will leave the country tomorrow for Zambia where they face ZESCO United on Saturday at Levy Mwanawase Stadium, Ndola, kickoff 3pm. The police ensemble Public Relations Officer (PRO) Frank Hurube said their medical team was monitoring the player and they were hoping he would be able to travel tomorrow. Another player who is set to miss the trip is twin player Lungelo Tsabedze, who watched from the stands on Saturday.

Hurube said they intended to travel with about 20 players and the final squad will be finalised today after their training session adding that COVID-19 tests results were out. “It is not easy for us to announce the travelling team but we are hopeful that we will travel with the best team. Our medical team is working on Machawe who had a knock and the others are well,” he said. Leopard shocked the visitors who were favourites to win the match through a goal by South Africa’s international striker Thabiso Mokenkoane.
