ONE YEAR TRIAL RUN FOR MILLING CHAIRMAN
MANZINI – Milling Hot spurs’ Chairman Sabelo Mavimbela has been given a one year trial run.
This was disclosed by the club’s former Chairman Ivan Munroe during Mavimbela’s official unveiling ceremony held at Swazi Mills Company premises yesterday afternoon in Manzini. The former Chairman applauded Mavimbela’s passion in football, as a football player and a lover of the game. He thanked the new chairman for relieving him off the burden and demands of football leadership amid his personal commitments and business endeavors. He, however, said he would always be readily available for any form of assistance and advise where need be.
“I want to thank the Mavimbela family for partnering with Milling Hot Spurs. Let it be known that I stepped down in good faith and I am still part of the team. In the agreement, Mavimbela has a one-year trial run and we believe that he will continue as the chairman,” Munroe said. Munroe urged the team and executive to render similar respect to Mavimbela regardless of his age. He said the sport was more important than status or position and appealed for collaboration between the executive and the players. Meanwhile, former Chief Operations Officer, who has assumed the position of General Secretary, Vusi Hall, expressed words of appreciation to Munroe for the role he played in the team over the years. He welcomed the new chairman and promised to work hand in glove with all the members of the executive for the betterment of the team. ‘We appreciate our former chairman for the role he played in our team. His love and passion for Milling Hotspurs is known to all and we will continue with our culture of respect, hard work and dedication,” Hall said.
