‘SIKHALI’S E5M SUDAN DEAL
MBABANE – Glory is beckoning for Mbabane Highlanders goal-a-game striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa.
Sudanese premier division side Alamal SC Atbara have made a formal request to Mbabane Highlanders in an attempt to sign the national team, Sihlangu Semnikati’s sharp-shooter. Highlanders Managing Director Ally Kgomongwe confirmed the transfer request from the Sudanese yesterday and was quick to say he was not ready to release the player for less than E5 million.

“Yes, they have approached me saying they want the player and I have referred them to Agent Charles Mpedu, who will be handling the transfer talks but I am not willing to release ‘Sikhali’ cheap. He is a very loyal player and I want to show the rest of the players that loyalty pays. He is not going for less than E5 million,” Kgomongwe said. Kgomongwe said the interests from the Sudanese team did not come as a surprise to him because the former Mbabane Swallows and Mbombela United player was a quality striker.
“I think everybody can agree that he is a talented player but most importantly, he is down-to-earth and loyal. He did very well with us last season and we would like to keep him. But if the Sudanese team can offer E5 million or more, I am willing to let him go because it will be good for his career and life in general,” he added. Reached for comment, the talented marksman, who scored 19 goals for Highlanders on his debut season, confirmed he had been informed by the club director Kgomongwe about the Sudan deal. “Yes, he did call to tell me about meeting some people from Sudan interested in me and he is the one handling the issue. That’s all I can say for now,” the soft-spoken Ndzinisa said. If the Ndzinisa-Sudan deal can materialise, it would easily be the biggest single player to be ever clinched by a local club.
