‘KOKO’ SIGNS FOR WANDERERS
MBABANE – Hub giants Manzini Wanderers have completed the signing of Tinyosi forward Njabulo ‘Koko’ Gama on a one-year deal.
Njabulo had played for the Lobamba-based side only in his football career which dates back to the now defunct Chappies Little League. “I have been with Tinyosi for 15 years now; I have played for the club in the Chappies Little League. I am a proud product of the team,” Gama said. The 25-year-old player said he was grateful to the team for unlocking his football talent. “I have now signed with Manzini Wanderers, one of the biggest teams in the land and as we are speaking, I am going to training. I have signed a one-year contract with them with an option to sign another one at the end of the season,” he said.
The gifted striker said he was looking forward to having a wonderful and prosperous season with the maroon and white Manzini side. He also wished his former club all the best in their future endeavours. “I would like to thank God and all the people who have been supportive to me since day one. Tinyosi Football Club is more like family to me and I will also be grateful to them for everything that they had done for me,” he said. Gama said he was grateful to the team’s Director, Mbuso ‘Banks’ Dlamini, whom he likened to his father.
thanks
“My special thanks go to the director who has been in my life since I was a year old, he paid for my education from Grade one until I finished my schooling. He also helped me secure a job,” he said. One of the team’s directors, who did not want his name revealed, confirmed that the player had moved to Wanderers. “It is no secret that the player has joined Wanderers as he came to us for blessings to join them and we granted him his wish,” the director said. Njabulo scored nine goals for Tinyosi FC last season. This was his first season in the elite league. Manzini Wanderers Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mlungisi Ndzinisa said there was nothing concerning the issue of ‘Koko’ that had reached his office, but said he was yet to consult with the relevant people in the team.
