FANS FIRED UP AT ‘TSETLA’ FUNERAL
MANZINI – The country’s super fans brought life to the funeral of Vovovo FC Director Sipho ‘Tsetla’ Bhembe.
The fans, who were wearing their teams’ colours, were blowing their vuvuselas, whistles, beating drums and singing during the whole session. They travelled behind the hearse for about a kilometre from the Bhembe homestead to the graveyard. Some of the teams who were represented were Manzini Wanderers, Mbabane Swallows, Mbabane Highlanders, Green Mamba and Vovovo FC among others.
Most people started to arrive at the Bhembe homestead at around 4am as the funeral service started at 5am. Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati was full of praise for the supporters. He said what impressed him the most was the good behaviour as they were able to maintain order during speeches and prayers. He said it was a good farewell to Bhembe. Vilakati was the MC for both the memorial service on Monday afternoon and the funeral service on Tuesday morning.
