‘BULL’S CAF CELEBRATORY PARTY
MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders will be hosting a party to celebrate their achievement of qualifying to play continental football.
The black and white capital giants finished the 2021/2022 MTN Premier League occupying the second spot, with 67 points, two points behind champions Royal Leopard. The second position came with a ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup. The second-tier interclub football tournamenet is played by teams that have won a domestic cup tournament, but in the absence of Eswatini Bank Cup the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) was forced to use the league’s runners-up.
‘Inkunzi emnyama’ Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mandla Madonsela revealed that a mega party would be hosted this coming Saturday in Ezulwini at Co-operative Development Centre (CODEC) to celebrate the team’s achievement in the recently-ended season. “It’s going down this weekend at CODEC; actually it’s an end of season celebration, whereby we will be celebrating our achievement in the past season,” Madonsela said.
He also said the party would be used to unify all the black bull’s supporters, management and players after a fruitful season. “Actually it’s not for Mbabane Highlanders people only, as every football person is invited,” he said. Madonsela said the Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe saw it fitting to host such a party for the Bull’s family to come together and celebrate with the team, their achievement.
“This will give the supporters a chance to thank the Chief for what he has done for the club and also he would also have a chance to address the supporters,” he said. He also said the event would be held at CODEC in Ezulwini on Saturday, but the time would be communicated in due course. The capital city giants last played in Africa in 2013, having represented the country three times in the CAF Confederation Cup.
