EDWIN, ‘MZORO’ VOTE IN CAF AWARDS
MBABANE – Royal Leopard coach Edwin Matsebula has been nominated to vote in the upcoming CAF Awards later this month.
Also nominated to vote in these awards are Leopard Captain Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini and Times of Eswatini’s Weekend Sports Editor Chris Dlamini. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Technical Committee, media professionals, coaches/technical directors and captains of member associations and clubs involved at the group stage of the inter-clubs competitions will take part in the voting phase.
“CAF is pleased to inform you that you have been selected to be among the panel for the Voting Phase of the selection process for the CAF Awards 2022, which will take place on July 21, 2022 in Morocco,” reads part of the correspondence from CAF. The CAF Awards are being organised on a theme to celebrate women’s football and the empowerment of women in sports and society, and will be held on the sidelines of the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2022.
“We are convinced your interest, knowledge and experience will go a long way in the selection of deserving winners for the respective category,” further reads the correspondence. The communication further states that the selected were invited to vote for the CAF Awards 2022 (CAF Awards 2022 - Club of the Year (Male) by clicking a link which was copied to them. The deadline for voting was yesterday. Efforts to get comments from Matsebula were futile. Meanwhile ‘Mzoro’ said it was an honour for him to vote for CAF awards. Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Media Officer Muzi Radebe was also not available for comment.
