‘SIKHALI’ LEADS RACE FOR E20 000 PRIZE
MBABANE – Goal-per-game striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa is leading the race for the COSAFA Cup ‘Golden Boot’ award.
The Sihlangu and Mbabane Highlanders marksman netted in a third straight game in the 2-0 win over Lesotho in the Hollywoodbets-sponsored Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) tournament in Durban, South Africa, yesterday to take his tally for the 2022 instalment to three.

This has ensured that the gifted forward stays in the driver’s seat in the race for the E20 000 first prize for the sharp shooter. The goal also helped the 30-year-old to be closer to matching countryman and Mbabane Swallows’ midfielder Felix Badenhorst’s nine-goal tally in the COSAFA all-time scorers’ charts. ‘Sikhali’ is now on eight goals overall and he has matched Zimbabwe’s Peter Ndlovu. Ndzinisa seems to be living up to his words. He told this publication that he wanted to score in all the games and he did just that. He will hope to maintain his cutting edge in the tricky quarterfinal clash against guest nation and African champions Senegal this coming Wednesday.
