DUMISA WINS ESRIC MONTHLY MUG
MBABANE – Well-travelled golfer Dumisa Gama played an impressive net 69 points to win the July Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC) Monthly Mug Golf edition.
The tournament was played on Saturday at the Mbabane Golf Club. Manzini Club member Ricky Saulus also played net 69 but couldn’t claim the trophy since he was not a Mbabane Golf Club member. Golfer Machawe Maziya won the gross trophy with a commendable gross 73. Third place winner, Moses Masilela, netted 70 points ahead of Siboniso Simelane and Rasheed Mohammed who were separated by a count back on 71 points. Frank Hlophe and Mbabane City Council Chief Executive Officer Gideon Mhlongo finished in positions six and seven after recording a total of 72 points respectively. Club Captain Fisiwe Vilane was the ladies’ category champion with a total of 67 net points and longest drive. “I would like to thank the sponsor ESRIC for their generosity. Without them, we would not be able to host this exciting tournament,’’ Vilane said.
