HEFTY FINES IN BIBLE SOCIETY CUP
MBABANE – Woe unto teams that will misbehave during the 2022 Bible Society Eswatini Cup billed for Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre.
There are punishments that include hefty summary fines to be imposed on teams that will go against the rules and regulations released to the four teams in Mbabane Highlanders, Manzini Wanderers, Moneni Pirates and Denver Sundowns that will be competing in the one-day tournament.
Article 4.1 1 says teams will be summarily fined an amount equivalent to E17 500 from its share of the E70 000 participating fee by the management committee (MC) if they fail to report at the card checking point thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled start of the match.
A club which abandons or causes the abandonment of a match shall forfeit the match to the opposing team and in addition to any other applicable fine as outlined in these rules, the club shall forfeit all monies paid and due to them according to these rules. Further, the club shall be liable to disciplinary action, and if found guilty, they shall be liable to a fine not less than E20 000.
