E30K FOR NJOBO FOUNDATION CHARITY CUP

MBABANE- The first-ever social teams’ national tournament in the country has been launched.

This tournament is styled Njobo Foundation Charity Cup. Njobo Foundation Charity Cup 2022, was launched this past Wednesday in Matsapha where MVJ Surgical and Medical Suppliers injected E30 000 into the foundation for the tournament. This tournament will start with regional eliminations. The regional social teams will battle it out to book a place in the last 16 of the Charity Cup. The regional tournaments are expected to start on September 3 this year. MVJ Surgical and Medical Suppliers General Manager Kumar Sigh, said this sponsorship was one of the many ways in which his company gave back to the community.

Njobo Foundation Founder Njobo Nkosi was grateful to the MVJ Surgical and Medical Suppliers for the sponsorship, saying the money would go a long way in ensuring that the tournament was a success. He also mentioned that this tournament would also help improve the lives of emaSwati. ‘‘We are doing this so we can return to communities and help with development of sports and improve their social life. We will be taking the legends back to the communities to assist with development of sports in the communities,’’ Nkosi said. He also highlighted that the teams which will reach the quarterfinals will receive a playing kit. At that stage, they will further announce the prize breakdown. All social teams are allowed to join the tournament and are expected to pay a joining fee of only E2 000.
