MASTER’S DEGREE FOR MALINDI
MBABANE – Local sports will never be the same after Malindi Dlamini acquired an Executive Master’s Degree in Sports Organisation Management.
He graduated last week at the Ottawa University, Canada and he is already back home and got down to business, as he is assisting the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games (EOCGA), as communication consultant. Dlamini was assisted by EOCGA and the Sincephetelo MVA Fund in enrolling for the course.
support
Dlamini thanked EOCGA and Sincephetelo MVA Fund for the support. He said this will go a long way in improving sports in the country. Dlamini was awarded the scholarship through the MEMOS Executive Master’s in Sport Organisations Management, which is a programme offered by the Olympic Movement. EOCGA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maxwell Jele, congratulated Dlamini on his achievement and the impact he would have for the organisation. Jele said the scholarship opportunities were available for local citizens, although it is endorsed by EOCGA, the eventual decision makers were the Olympic Committee.
automatic
“The scholarship is not an automatic thing. It is a special application that has to be done by the applicants and we supported him based on his specialty that also benefits the organisation as he also assisted our intern, Malindi Dlamini with the devilment of EOCGA’s website, which will be launched before the end of the year,” Jele said. Malindi is a former Times of Eswatini sports reporter and also served as communications officer for EOCGA.
