MBABANE – Immediately after local athletes have been denied access to the Mavuso Sports Centre, The Fitness Zone Gym has come to the rescue of one of the athletes.

Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa will have access to the gym until 2024. ‘Swazi Bolt’ is preparing for the next year’s All Africa Games and World Champs to be held in Australia. The fastest man in the country said he was grateful for the support and he had a long working relation with Fitness Zone, which dated back to 2009 when the gym was not opened at Mavuso. He said he was hopeful that the matter would be settled as their talks were ongoing between the stakeholders so the athletes could access, especially the running track. He said this came as a motivation to him.
Meanwhile, The Fitness Zone Gym Managing Director Jack Van Der Zandt said they were open to sponsoring more athletes if the situation draged on. VanDer Zandt also said emaSwati would have access to the facility till the end of next year.
