MANZINI – Moneni Pirates Coach Coaster Magongo acknowledges Young Buffaloes were a hard nut to crack.
After a goalless draw with Young Buffaloes in an MTN Premier League clash at Mavuso Sports Centre, he highlighted the lack of confidence resulting from two consecutive defeats. Pirates lost 0-1 to Nsingizini Hotspurs last week following another loss to Swallows. Yesterday was Pirates’ third winless game and failure to grind positive results, according to the head coach, weakened the team’s spirit. “It was always going to be tough playing against the log leaders, but it was very important for us to get a point, at the least.
We have lost two games running and the boys lacked confidence, but we are taking the positives going into our next match against Leopard,” Magongo said. Meanwhile, Young Buffaloes’ coach Mandla Dlamini commended his team for the good effort despite failing to score. Buffaloes managed to stretch their unheated run, making this their third draw in eight games.
