NHLANGANO – “My boys played very well.”

These were the comments of Manzini Wanderers gaffer, Tarisayi Changara, after seeing his side defeated 1-0 at the hands of Sea Birds.  Wanderers had won their last three  successive MTN Premier league games  coming to this match. Yesterday Changara’s men through a Mfundo Zwane header, in a game that was spoiled by many controversial decisions from referee Mncinseli Sithole.

Tarisayi, who has come under criticism in recent times applauded his team and said they did all they could to at least get a point in the game. “I would love to thank my players, although we lost the game but they did everything  they could to get an equalising goal. We should have scored a lot of goals in the second half but because we don’t have a striker we missed so many chances,” the coach said.

Setback

The coach said the defeat was a setback for his side, but was going to prepare for their next game against Tambuti this weekend. For the team, it is back to the drawing board and we forget about this loss,” he said. The coach further asked the Manzini Wanderers supporters to continue supporting the team, and mentioned that he believed in playing entertaining football.

Meanwhile his counterpart at Manzini Sea Birds, Sibusiso Mngometulu, who registered his first win  this year said the Manzini Wanderers game was always going to be tricky, but he was happy to get all three points. “The game was close. We should have gone to the halftime break leading by three to four goals. We knew that Wanderers were going to be a threat coming from past wins in the league  but we had a good game plan for them,” he said.Wanderers next have a fixture against Tambuti. Sea Birds, on the other hand, next face second-placed Green Mamba.
