BUILD IT U-13S TO HIT MATSAPHA ON SATURDAY

MBABANE – The second edition of the 2022/23 Build it Under-13 football development tournament is going to be hosted by the Matsapha store on Saturday.

The tournament which is played across the country, where there is a Build it store, was launched late last year at the Mbabane Store and the games were played on December 10, 2022, at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground.
A pick team that will represent Mbabane in the national championships in a date to be confirmed by Eswatini Football Association (EFA) and the sponsor was selected and Akhile Kunene was named the best player.

EFA Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe revealed that the development programme would be staged in Matsapha at Eqinisweni Sports Ground, where eight teams would be playing this coming weekend.
“The Build it/EFA development programme will this coming week be played at Matsapha, as the Nhlangano edition was cancelled. “You will remember that even the Siteki edition was also postponed, but we are definitely sure that this one will go as planned,” Radebe said.

He said the tournament would be played using the same format of two groups of four teams each and a pick team would be selected. “I would like to invite parents and the general public to attend the games to give support to the youngsters. It encouraged them and as witnessed last week Friday, the players benefit a lot not just playing the game, but also given something that they will also cherish,” he said.
