TWO-MATCH BAN FOR ‘BULL’ STAR, 2 OTHERS

MBABANE – The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has suspended three players from taking part in their respective sides’ next two MTN Premier League games after accumulating three yellow cards.

Headlining the list of the suspended players is Mbabane Highlanders defensive midfielder, Mpendulo Tfomo, who will be unavailable for his team’s game against Mahlanya-based side Seven Dreams in a league match billed for KaLanga Technical Centre.

It is set to start at 3pm today and Highlanders’ next game is against Madlenya. The Highlanders player got his third yellow card in the game against Nsingizini Hotspurs, which they won 0-1 last Sunday at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium.

Another notable player in the suspension list is Moneni Pirates defender Menzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane, who has shown to be one of the key players for the Ikabort Masocha-led outfit who have been in a four league unbeaten run before being defeated by Mbabane Swallows last Thursday at Prince of Wales Sports Ground. Simelane will miss his side’s match against second-placed Young Buffaloes, scheduled for tomorrow at Mhlume Stadium and another league game against Tambankulu Callies next week.

These players had been suspended in accordance with this season’s MTN Premier League Rules and Regulations. In terms of Article 9.2.1.2, if a player is suspended twice during the same season; the period of shall be increased by one match from the ban previously served. Lwazi Mdluli, on the other hand, will be the only player will suffer from the National First Division. He plays for Hlatikhulu Tycoons.
