MBABANE - Two rival teams in the country in Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers are allegedly using the same training ground for their training sessions.

Swallows are said to be using the Malkerns Club facilities in the morning and Wanderers come for their afternoon sessions at the same venue.
This is the first time the rivals happen to use the same training facilities at the Malkerns Club. Supporters on social media were quick to say this was unprofessional, while others felt that this was not a problem despite the teams being rivals.

Signed

Swallows and Wanderers rivalry goes way back and the capital city giants have signed players like Sandile Ginindza, Felix Badernhorst, Sanele Mkhweli and recently Neliswa Dlamini from Wanderers. This has made the teams to have a tense relationship over the years. A well informed insider confirmed the latest developments and mentioned that this started last week. The hub giants, through Public Relations Officer (PRO) Lucky ‘Majayivane’ Dlamini, said they learnt that the Mbabane giants were also training at Malkerns Club which shocked them. “I did hear that Mbabane Swallows were using the Malkerns Club for their training sessions which has completely shocked us.

Arrangements

“We don’t know the arrangements with Malkerns Country Club but we will look into this development as a club,” he said. Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane could not be drawn for comment as his phone rang unanswered when called yesterday.
In the lucrative DStv Premier League in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows FC recently used the same training facilities in the Bidvest facilities at the start of the year and other teams have shared the High Performance Centre in Pretoria.
