PM, INTERNATIONAL GUESTS FOR EOCGA CELEBRATION

MBABANE – As Eswatini Olympics and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) will have a double celebration, the Prime Minister (PM) Cleopas Sipho Dlamini and other international guests are expected to join them.

EOCGA will be celebrating 50 years of existence and it will be the official opening of its new headquarters at Lobamba at Olympafrica, opposite Somhlolo National Stadium. This event was set to take place last year but was postponed due to the delayed completion of the renovation of the new offices. EOCGA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maxwell Jele has confirmed that the event will go ahead tomorrow as it has been also sanctioned by government.

Structure

He said the premier was expected to be part of the day’s festivities, which will include touring the new structure and the ribbon cutting. “After the ribbon cutting, the prime minister will participate in two other key events on the day with his delegation. “He is expected to partake in the tree planting ceremony within the same vicinity and also mark off the event with witnessing the signing of a ‘Cooperation Agreements’ with South Africa and Lesotho,” mentioned Jele. Among the dignitaries who will grace the event tomorrow will be the Association of National Olympics Committees for Africa (ANOCA) Vice President Motlohang Moiloa-Ramoqoqo.

Present

Motlohang  will be representing ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf. Meanwhile, the ANOCA Regional Zone VI President Alfred Fokolo will be also present on the day. other dignitaries will be coming from countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and Lesotho.
They are expected to jet into the kingdom today.
