MBABANE – The title challenging two security forces teams in leaders Green Mamba and second-placed Young Buffaloes aim for nothing but wins today and tomorrow.

This is when the two sides take on their rivals in the MTN Premier League match-day 17, Green Mamba takes on ailing Manzini Wanderers at 3pm today at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground, inside the capital city. Buffaloes will be home to now faltering rookies Nsingizini Hotspurs in Mhlume, at Nsukuwansuku Stadium, tomorrow at 3pm.

Undermine

During a pre-match media briefing at Sigwaca House yesterday afternoon, Green Mamba’s assistant coach Sandile Lulane said they had been working hard preparing for this fixture as they knew what result was needed and they could not undermine Wanderers because of their low standing in the log table. “Wanderers are one of the difficult teams to play in the league but we have done enough in our preparations for this match, which is very important for us to win. We’re currently in a good run of form and that will be the motivating factor for us,” Lulane said.

Happy

Wanderers Head Coach Terisayi Changara said they wanted to win the game too and make their supporters happy. “We have forgotten about our defeat to Tambuti last week but we have set our minds in tomorrow’s (today) game, which we must win at all costs.” he declared. On another note, Buffaloes, who are hoping Green Mamba slip up this afternoon while they try to win against Nsingizini tomorrow to reclaim the summit were represented by their assistant coach Sabelo Mnisi.

“The spirit is high in camp and the boys are looking forward to the match, which won’t be easy for them. We played to a 1-all draw with Nsingizini in the first round and they are a team we won’t take lightly because they have been able to beat strong teams in the league this season,” he said. His Nsingizini Hotspurs counterpart in Promise Mandidzidze said they were just as ready too. “We have prepared well for the game and as a team we will turn the corner. The team has been doing well in the league but the big problem has been converting the scoring chances.” he said.
He acknowledged it was a tough game but they were well prepared for it as they needed to turn the corner.
