CALLIES BOSS ‘NGUDZE’ ARRESTED!
MANZINI – Prominent football administrator and Tambankulu Callies Director Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba is alleged to have defrauded another of E164 700 for the purchase of a car in South Africa.
It is said the 41-year-old reportedly misrepresented himself to Nkhundla Abel Mamba and obtained the aforementioned money. This reportedly happened in Manzini on August 12, last year.
‘Ngudze’ appeared before Manzini Acting Magistrate Thamsanqa Ndlovu yesterday, facing a charge of theft by false pretences. The accused, upon having his rights to legal representation explained, elected to seek the services of an attorney. He was granted bail fixed at E15 000. He was remanded until March 21. Meanwhile, it is the second time in less than a year for the seasoned football administrator to be dragged before court. In May last year, it was reported that the Small Claims Court granted an order against Mamba. The newly-established Small Claims Court deals with minor civil claims in a speedy, affordable and simple manner without the services of an attorney. A man identified as David Kunene made a claim against the seasoned football administrator, demanding E18 000.
Contention
The bone of contention, it was established, was a transaction that supposedly went wrong. The amount was said to be in respect of money owed to Kunene for a white Mercedes-Benz he reportedly sold to Mamba back in 2009. Kunene had alleged that he had tried in vain to recover the money. The court ordered the defendant (Mamba) to pay the money through instalments of E5 000 per month, with effect from the end of May last year until the debt was paid in full.
