It is back to ‘Y’ello’ action following a two-week international break.

It is the last mile, as the chase for the holy grail of Eswatini football gains momentum. With seven games to spare, you snooze, you lose.  Headlining Week 20 is the blockbuster between second-placed Young Buffaloes and Mbabane Swallows. The latter are just three points behind and are presented with an opportunity to leapfrog their rivals in the battle for second. Both sides are not only in the chase for the championship, but look to at least finish as runners-up to stand a chance of making it to the Africa competition. Of late, this fixture has become synonymous with draws. There has been no winner in the last five meetings, with the October 2, 2022 first round match-up ending in a 1-all stalemate.

Buffaloes were the last team to prevail in this fixture, thanks to a 3-1 win back on October 27, 2019. Both sides have hit top form, with Buffaloes still unbeaten. In fact, the army side has preserved a 37-game unbeaten run, which stretches from last season. While this game proves to be low scoring, this weekend’s meeting is expected to be different, as the teams boast goal-poachers in their arsenal. The sides have a galaxy of stars at their disposal. While the likes of Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst and Kwakhe Thwala are expected to spearhead the Swallows attack, in Njabulo Maziya, Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze, Ali Matse and Bongwa ‘Owa’ Matsebula; Buffaloes have an ace up their sleeve.
