MBABANE – “We are tired of being Highlanders whipping boys.”

This statement was made by Tambankulu Callies Director Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba, ahead of their clash against Mbabane Highlanders at Tambankulu Stadium on Sunday. He said Highlanders had been beating them for the past seasons and this should come to an end from this coming Sunday.
The ‘Bobhejane’ boss said the position the team was finding itself in was not a true reflection of their performance and they should start collecting points to move away from the relegation zone. “We are tired of being beaten by Highlanders and I’m sorry to my big brother, in Ally Kgomongwe, that I will add to his team’s woes as I want the maximum points on Sunday,” Mamba said. He said Highlanders would not be coming to Tambankulu Stadium to slaughter them, as now was the time for his team to start collecting points.

He said the reason they found themselves in the danger zone was due to the fact that most key players left the club in the second window registration period. The Lubombo-based side is currently on position 13 on the MTN Premier League standings, with the same number of points from 19 games. The team last season punched above their weight, as they finished on a respectable position five, above seasoned campaigners Manzini Wanderers and Green Mamba.
