CORRECTIONAL STUN WAY INN
EZULWINI – Yet another upset for Malkerns giants Way Inn, was the order of the day this weekend in the Dixie’s International Pool League.
Chasing their second Dixie’s International Pool League title, the star-studded side has suffered three shock defeats already, which put their title challenge mettle in heavy doubt.
They have given away points in games that they were rightly expected to have won. It was defeat against bottom loggers and rookies Q. Potters, Figaredo, Malkerns and now they have lost to eighth-placed Correctional Services, who had not been having it easy. Potters still have one win in 12 games, all thanks to Way Inn. The result saw Way Inn drop again, this time, from second to fourth on 36 points while leaders Manzini Pool Club (MPC) and defending champions made good of their fixtures.
Bonus
MPC recorded a bonus win, earning four points after a 13-2 bashing of Malkerns, while the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) pool club crushed Cue Stars 13-1 to also get the bonus point, adding four to their previous 35 to 39. MPC now have 41 points at the summit. All top four teams including Ludzeludze I, who also earned four points from Garrison have finished their first round matches. Manzini Regional Pool Association (MRPA) Secretary Musa Dlamini confirmed the latest results and that some teams were done with the first round.
