SIPHAMBANWENI’S E20K UMBRO SWEATERS FOR NSINGIZINI
MBABANE – Nsingizini Hotspurs main sponsor Siphambanweni Milling, donated Umbro sweaters worth E20 000 to the players.
The ambitious MTN Premier League rookies, who won the inaugural MoMo Cup were presented with 60 Umbro sweaters, as a token of appreciation for the good performance in their maiden season at top flight by the sponsor. This happened during the Shiselweni-based awards ceremony which was held this past Saturday at Nsingizini Rural Development Area (RDA) Hall. The donation was revealed by Thulani ‘Gogo’ Shiba, who was representing President Derrick Shiba. The president was reportedly to be out of the country on work-related issues as he missed the occasion, where the rookies’ outstanding players alongside those from their sister team playing under the Eswatini Women’s Football League (EWFL) were awarded for their stellar performances in the recently ended seasons.
“It gives me pleasure to announce that our partners have bought 60 Umbro sweaters for our players to keep warm this winter. This is an appreciation of them for the good work that you have done this past season,” Shiba said. He also revealed that the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has pledged to donate five soccer balls to the team for their good display in their maiden season in top flight local football. He further said their doors were wide open to other companies and individuals who wanted to join hands in supporting the team. It was national team Sihlangu goalkeeper Sibusiso ‘Baraba’ Dlamini who scooped the most prestigious award on the day, the Player of the Season gong. ‘Baraba’ was also awarded with the Golden Glove award. Meanwhile Nomfundo Bhembe went away with the Player of the Season award in the Nsingizini Hotspurs Ladies team.
