NOBUHLE MISSES CUT IN E6M TOURNEY
MBABANE – Professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini has failed to make the cut in a E6 million tournament.
This was after she finished and ranked position 115 in the tournament that was played in Belgium over the weekend. The Belgian Ladies Open was played from this Friday to Sunday. The tournament was played at the Naxhelet Golf Course, in the city called Wanze in Belgium. It was played over three rounds in a 72-par course and golfers had to fight for a share from a E6 million purse. She came 115th after playing 11-over-par. In round one she played 10-over-par while in day two she played better at one over-par. Her combined score over the two days was 155 which was not good enough to make the cut of the 75 best golfers.
The winner of the tournament was German’s Patricia Isabel Schmidt, who played 11-under-par in the past three days. On day one, she played one-under-par. On day two she played four under-par while in round three she finished high on an improved six-under-par. This was Dlamini’s first major tournament after returning to the country to host the second edition of the Nobuhle Dlamini Junior Golf Challenge in Ezulwini last month. She is still trying to establish herself in Europe this year following a shaky start. Probably she did not make the cut in the European Tour event because she was inactive for the past two months.
