CHAMPS G. MAMBA HAPPY WITH SIKHALI
MBABANE – Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mandla Sibiya says he was impressed by the performance of their goal machine Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa in the 2022/23 season.
The player has played 25 games and has managed to score 11 goals on top of recording the same number of assists in the 2022/23 season. This, therefore, means that the striker has been involved in 22 Premier League goals. Sibiya hailed ‘Sikhali’ as the best player in the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE). “There is absolutely no doubt that ‘Sikhali’ is the best in the (PLE),” he said. “He is unselfish; he passes the ball to the other players even if there is a chance for him to score. I’m convinced that he would have scored more goals than the previous season, but he believes in team unity. Therefore, no matter how easy it is to just pass the ball to the net, he prefers to pass it to his teammates to score,” elaborated the CEO.
Goals
Sibiya also added that he hoped that going forward; the player, who scored 23 goals last season, would bang in more. On top of that, he also brought it to the fore that scoring 11 goals a season was no child’s play. “Scoring more than 11 goals a season is difficult to players, hence, it is a huge achievement to our goal poacher ‘Sikhali’ to achieve such a goal-scoring record. Over and above that, even in South Africa, many players struggle to maintain a good scoring record,” said the CEO.
He also added that many teams concentrated on Ndzinisa in the game, thus creating a tremendous opportunity for the other teammates to score goals.
“He is a great advantage in our team because many club players put a lot of focus on him, forgetting that he is not the only player in the field. This action consequently leads to the other players to get an excellent opportunity to score,” he said.
